Greens and faces, sounds stupid but if you are going to eat something you have to think if it had a face or came from the earth naturally eat it. fruits, veggie, chicken, fish, steak. DIET, what an ugly word, lifestyle change is better. you have to stick to it or you'll just gain it back. My life had hit rock bottom. I was 5'7" 230lbs, had a lot of problems. Decided to change my life november 23,2006. I lost 60lbs. and went from 32% body fat to 11% body fat in 3.5 months. I have lived the lifestyle since and control my weight loss/gain. I don't believe there is a magic diet out there, Weight Watchers proven to work no doubt but what if I splurge and my points are through by 3 pm then what I can't eat. It is not good to be hungry, you are burning muscle not fat. Adkins causes high cholestorol, can also gain what you lose twice as fast as the first time. So, if you are serious about losing weight just eat fresh foods not fast foods. Eat 6 small meals a day. Cook food for yourself in advance so all you have to do is reach for the container in the fridge. I hope this helps, Good Luck!

Weight Watchers was the best. I lost 7 lbs, which is alot for me, because I only had a few lbs to lose. My mother, on the other hand, lost 50 lbs.
You can eat what you want, you just have to practice portion control, and stay within your points range. Weight Watchers is definitely the best.

Going without Weight Watchers wasn't working, because I need to set limits, if not, I keep eating this and that-without stopping.

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 400-600cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day (have lots of veggies to eat in between meals if you are still hungry)
8 glasses of water -carry bottle of water with you and when you feel hungry drink it - we often confuse hunger with thirst (our bodies confuse it)
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio is the only fat burning exercise and burns fat all over your body (running, jogging, swimming, spinning, elliptical etc) 4-6 times a week for average of 45min, light weight training a few times a week (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, ice cream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
of course you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
