Does it matter how many calories you intake?!

Question: IF I AM EATING HEALTHY, SHOULD I WORRY ABOUT HOW MANY CALORIES I INTAKE? I USUALLY DO NOT EAT AFTER 6 AND I AM LOOSING WEIGHT SO I CAN NOT COMPLAIN. HOWEVER, I FIND MYSELF SEARCHING FOR CALORIES ON EVERYTHING!! IS THIS A GOOD THING??

On nutrition fact labels, it states the average person intakes about 2,000 calories a day, however recent studies have shown the average American eats close to 3,000. If you are trying to stay healthy by consuming more vitamins or protein etc., this means that you have to adjust the percent according to how many calories you actually consume Just keep a log of what you eat for a few days, and average how many calories you eat per day. I'm sure if you're losing weight, you're doing fine on the calorie intake.

we need a speacial amt to lose wt or to gain and to stay the same wt
if your 1,200 or less you should lose wt
if your active and over 1,500 you might still lose wt
under 1,200 is not good since you might not be getting all you need in a day

Yes, you should monitor your calories if you are trying to lose weight. Remember it takes burning 3500 calories just to lose a pound, so you don't want to eat too many calories or your efforts may be hindered.

you have to burn off more calories than you gain so looking at the calories is a good thing.

You should determine how many calories you need and not go over
calories will hinder ur weight loss

yeah it does kinda. the main thing u shuld worry about is good carbs and bad carbs but excercise is included

input your true height and weight. good luck!

I honestly dont think it matters as long as you are active. I have been maintaining a 70 pound weight loss for about 8 months now and I eat about 95% healthy foods everyday and eat alot. I do cardio eveyday for 30 minutes and strength train 3 times a week and I haven't gained any weight.
