TMI Q: Dieting and bowel movements?!

Question: I have been on Weight Watchers for three weeks now and nearly doubled the amount of veggies and fruits I am eating...which generally helps people have a bowel movement...
While I don't feel constipated, I am also not having bowel movements but every three days if I am lucky.

Why is this? Maybe I am not getting enough fiber in my diet?

Thanks for your help.

add some flax seed and have plenty of l glucosamine to feed your muscles and stomach

Get some flax seed and put it on your food. Also, eat some of those fiber bars. A jolly rancher always does the trick for me.

just so you know, that was painful to read.

Chances are, you're not drinking enough water. When you eat more fiber, sometimes you don't have enough liquid to push it through..

Try upping your water for several days..

People bowel habit varies widely based on diet, activity and genetics. If you are not feeling bad then a bowel movement every few days (rather than daily) is nothing to worry about. Daily bowel movements are not necessary for good health.

plenty of fibre and plenty of water and a senekot pill at bedtime and you will go in the morning for sure, email me and let me know how you got on johnpearson39@btinternet.com
