My weight loss?!

Question: Hello, I am currently in the process of getting in good shape, getting abs, etc. I have a question though, I am 6 feet two inches, and my goal weight before building muscle is 165 Pounds. Is this a good weight goal? Too much, too little? My BMI would be 21.5. Right now I weigh 200 Pounds but carry my weight very well.

i thin it is tooo little i think u should go for 175 to take it slow good luck!!!!

not bad . but you have little oil .

No need to hit a "goal weight" before putting on muscle...just alternate cardio with resistance training. In fact, building muscle as you loose weight will help you burn more calories because it takes more energy to support muscle than fat.

Personally, I don't pay too much attention to the BMI scale. If your blood pressure and cholesterol profiles are good, you eat a balanced diet and exercise regularly, you'll be fine.

Go to a gym and get your fat percentage. It will give you a good idea of where you are fitness wise. Athletes and body builders use this method. Body builders will get as low as 3% for a show, but this is not healthy nor achievable for everyday fitness. Talk with a trainer and they can give you a healthy to athletic range. In my experience, 165 lbs sounds a little too low for a man your height. Muscle weighs more than fat, so you can be lean with muscle but still weigh more than someone else thinner than you, because they lack muscle that is better for your metabolism.
