Rice vs Wheat, which of them contains more carbohydrate?!

As a grain it looks to be about the same if you adjust for the size, i.e., double the wheat flour's carbs to adjust for the difference in portion sizes.

0.5 cups Rice Flour, brown -- 60.4 grams carbohydrate
0.5 cups Rice Flour, white -- 65.3 grams carbohydrate

0.25 cups Wheat Flour, white -- 23.9 grams carbohydrate
0.25 cups Wheat Flour, whole wheat -- 21.8 grams carbohydrate

But as a food its a lot different.

1 cup of brown rice (cooked) -- 45 grams carbohydrate
1 slice White Bread -- 12 grams carbohydrate

I'd say per serving as a food, wheat has less carbs. Unless you eat two slices of bread and only 1/2 cup of rice then it works out the same.

You should be more specific with what types. What kind of rice? Wheat what?

Wheat breads usually have about 14.75g of carbohydrates (5% D.V.*) and 2.21g Fiber (9% D.V.).

White rice has about 53.44g carbohydrates (18% D.V.)
and no fiber content. Brown rice has about 45.84g (15%
D.V.)
and about 3.51g of Fiber (14% D.V.)

Anything whole grain will have less carbohydrates and more fiber. It is less processed. White flours have enriched flours and whatnot in them. Really not much nutrtitional value. They cause your blood sugar levels to spike then drop and make you crave more carbs to satisfy you.

Really, ounce for ounce, rice carries more carbohydrate than wheat itself. that is, if you are looking at regular rice (white or brown). Remember, wild rice isn't really rice, it is a grass seed.
