What is the best way to get abs?!

Question: I have not been very active this year but have been working out the last 2 months during ab machines and running. My body is toning except my stomach. I have also stopped eating fast food the past 2 months. What else can I do?

No pop either. OKAY PLEASE READ THIS! CRUNCHS ALONE DO NOT GIVE YOU A SIX PACK. its a myth, and is sadly used to solicte. A good cardio, running and such is best because abs represent oxygen tanks (lol in a way). U cannot spot tone your body or loose wieght from a specific spot on your body, thats why crunchs don't work. To get abs you must loose over all body fat, thats why nice arms and decent legs come with abs. So do a little wieght lifting or push ups n such. Diet is a key factor too not going into detail of that... ;) this should get u them in months instead of years if u do them intensely n take them serouisly.

do crunches and leg lifts and if you can both at the same time. also in order for the abs to show you need to get rid of any excess fat on your abdomen covering up the muscles

whenever your watching tv or sumthin put down a blanket on the floor and just lay there doing the crunches while watching tv

Ab Lounger! I swear it works!!!

Make sure you work all your abdominal muscles- upper and lower obliques and lower back. Go to these links for some exercises:

The two from runnersworld.com are just a couple of the many they have. If you go to runnersworld.com and search abdominal workouts, it comes up with a whole page!

Eating healthy will help too. Avoid junk foods (pop, candy, cookies, desserts, potatoe chips, etc). Eat lots of fruit and veggies and drink lots of water. Make sure you eat breakfast, because it helps you burn calories during the day. And only eat when you're hungry, and if you have to snack, eat something healthy like nuts, fruit/veggies, yogurt, etc.

Some sort of cardiovascular activity is good for you too, like running, biking, rollerblading, or swimming. I'm a runner and running has helped me build up ab muscle. And pushups work your core too, so add those to your work out.
