It's difficult being a teenager believe me I had a hard time as an overweight teen and I still have a hard time accepting myself though those days were almost 10 years ago. So please take what I have to say to heart. Please don't look for the quick solution because they can have repercussions down the road and the weight will come.

Your body is still growing so your body needs nutritious meals. Because WW has patents on their plans - you can actually get their point calculations for free with a little googling / yahooing. WW would be the easiest recommendation I could make to you because it allows you to eat what you want and over time you learn how to balance what you eat day to day or week to week.

Some quick guidelines - get your fruits and veggies in everyday. Make your vegetable portion at dinner time your main course size, and make your main course a side dish.

Drink more water. When you think you might be hungry - first try drinking a glass of water. Wait a few minutes - if you're still hungry make yourself a snack - have a few (less than 10) raw almonds, an apple, some carrot sticks with a low-cal dressing, or have some celery sticks with p/b.

The weather should be improving so try to get a little more activity than you do now - go for a couple extra walks.

Try keeping a journal of your feelings and what you're eating. Review it every now and again and see if you see patterns - if you do this now - you'll save yourself a lot in the future - and probably a few dress sizes.

No supplements or gimmicks will work in the long run. It's really all a matter of calories in vs. calories out. There are many websites that will tell you how many calories are in common items - so you can create an intake journal too.

The weight probably didn't appear over night - so it probably won't come off over night. Good luck and take it day by day. You can do it!

hey email me at babyydollxox@yahoo.com
let me know your goals and what you want to do.
im 17 and i work at golds gym. if you're serious. i really will help you. and ill write you up diet and exercise plans . okk???
good luck sweety

Count calories and stay at about 1000-1200 a day. Exercise a few (3-5) times a week for at least 35 min. Work up to 45 min and eventually an hour if you can. Walking is good. Losing weight is simple really: DIET + EXCERCISE = WEIGHTLOSS

It's sticking to it that's hard. Set daily goals. Keep a food diary and don't cheat...if you eat something WRITE IT DOWN. You will likely be surprised at how much is unhealthy. Take it one day at a time it will seem easier.

When you are thirsty, don't reach for anything with calories, unless it's milk. If you are a regular soda drinker, switch to diet soda. Coke Zero is my favorite and Diet Dr. Pepper really does taste like regular Dr. Pepper and Crystal Lite is 0 calories and so yummy.?

Good luck! ?

I would cut out all the junk food. No chips, candy, soda, etc. Bring your own lunch to school: sandwich with whole wheat bread, veggies (instead of chips). Drink lots of water. And no sweets. try eating sugar-free fudgstickles, but limit yourself. One treat a day.

I drink a lot of tea. I was told that drinking a lot of tea 'melts the oils and fats in my body and drains it out'...don't know if that's true, but it sounds good to me. Anyways, drink tea is good for you.

I've tried nutrisystem, tons of diet pills, and other diets. They work for a short amount of time, then the weight comes back. The best way to lose weight and keep it off is just changing your lifestyle, eat healthy and keep exercising.
