How much do i need to loose?!


Question: i know i am over weight i badly need to loose weight but i don't know how much i need to loose i am 16 6ft tall and i weigh 240 lbs :-/ dont make any bad comments comments please and all serious answers are appreciated

Right now, you're BMI is around 32. A healthy weight for your height and age is a 25 at the minimum. That is at 183 pounds. So you'll want to loose 57 pounds. And it can be hard. But here are some key things:

-Exercise at least 60 miniutes 3x a week
-Cut back on the sweet stuff
-Reduce your diet by 500 calories a day
-walk everyday in little forms, like take the stairs
-water, water, water! NO SODA!
-Eat grapes and watermelon, they make you feel full.

you shouldn't care how much other people think you should loose... do it for yourself. when you feel comfortable with your body then thats when you should stop trying to loose weight and stay whatever weight you feel comfortable and healthy at.

I wouldn't use weight as a tool to go by, your body is the best indicator. People are different, some have higher muscle mass naturally which means they will always have a higher weight even when they're healthier than others (lower fat-ratio)

So I'd suggest you go here for further reading and don't let ANYONE get you down! There's absolutely nothing wrong if you're happy with how you are.

Not clear - do you want to lose weight or your weight-losing plan to be loose - meaning not very serious!

small frame=160lbs
medium size frame=178lbs
large frame=196lbs
now its easier for you to see how much weight you have to lose..
i suggest lose 40 to 50 pounds..
