Well, an awful lot of things depend on the correct answer to your question. Like your age, your general health and if you have any medical problems. There is no "one" answer to your question no matter how many times you ask it. If you have a weight problem, go to your doctor and discuss it with him or her. A nutritionist would be good to visit too just to get the opinion of a professional. The folks on these boards, myself included, are mostly just giving their opinion based on personal experience or the experiences of other's they've known. But you need to consult someone that can give advice based on your size, bone structure, medical factors etc.

In general, if someone puts more calories in their body per day than they are burning up, they will gain weight. If they put in less calories per day than they burn up, they will loose weight. Each person's metabolism is different. If you eat three healthy meals per day and go easy on inbetween meal snacks, and you do some form of exercise daily, you should be able to bring your body down to it's comfortable size. Walking is an excellent all around exercise that can be done daily by most people and it doesn't cost a penny. But I don't think setting a 50 pound goal in 4 months is wise as it sounds like you may be setting your self up for disappointment. But what ever is comfortable for you to tell yourself that works is fine. Just don't starve yourself or exercise obsessively as that is terrible for your body and your body may rebel. Start today just eating healthy and exercising a little bit..do everything slowly till you get used to it. Don't focus on the goal, focus on the journey there!

its not really all that good for you but as you work out drink cold water and ur burn more

Eat a really good diet...every meal should contain protein. Exercise vigorously.

that's actually very doable, you figure about 10+ lbs a month is a very doable goal. I would say lose 50lbs in 5 months, but if you stick to a strict diet and exercise at least 4 times a week, you'll do just fine.

Only if you do it in a healthy manner. There is nothing wrong with trying. Trying can't make you unhealthy. Not eating enough, or keeping that much weight on you can.

Overall, I say that its fine to lose that much weight in that amount of time. Just don't overdo it. Stick to a routine and be sure to get all of the calories, protein, and nutrients that you need.

It is not healthy to lose that much weight in 4 months.
Your body will think it is starving so when it goes get some food your body will store it in the form of fat.

Just exercise and eat healthy.

its possible just become bulimic..

i swear it works!
