I think that everything I eat makes me fat...?!

Question: I'm so messed up when it comes to my diet. I think that everything I eat will make me fat... and it's so bad that I think that if I eat one thing, I'll gain 10 pounds of noticable weight very soon. I have not eaten breakfast in years, and on school days, I skip lunch. So all I do is eat snacks and dinner. I know this isn't good for me, but I just cannot bring myself to eat 3 meals a day, it just seems like too much. I wanna eat less than that, but my question is, what do I do? If I eat a really small amount of food, will I lose weight? I know about starvation mode, but how can it be true when there's anorexia and starving people in the world? They're not fat. I just don't know what to do; I'm obsessed with food, in such a way that I'm afraid of it, but crave it too, and I think that I'll lose weight if I eat a small meal. What should I do? I used to throw up my food intentionally and I've been thinking about doing it again, but I know it's bad. I have no idea what to do.. Can you help?

its ok! i do the same thing. i am pretty screwed up that way to. but the best thing to do is watch the calories and watch the bad fats. i only eat once or twice a day but i TRY to eat in the mornings once in awhile. yogurts. fruits. vegetables. cereal and granola bars! i can eat all that without feeling so fat and gross. but as i said watch the calories in what you eat! when you learn about what you are putting into your body you wont freak out about thinking your gainging weight. also i step on a scale like 30 times a day. helps me also realize im not getting fatter..

yes make sure you eat 3 meals and day. make sure you eat small portions of HEALTHY FOOD. don't eat junk food for a month and only drink diet coke. my friend did it and she lost sooo much weight

You need professional help! Tell your parents or teachers about your problem., so they can get you the help you need.

No I can't. You need professional help. This is not about the food. You have an eating disorder and you need professional help to figure out why you have a distorted relationship with food. Go see a therapist before you make yourself throw up again.

you need some help yo..talk to someone a doctor mom dad teacher..idk.. but all i kno is you shouldnt starve yourself or eat a couple meals a day..you could actually gain weight by not eating enough..and eating little snacks thats bad..just eat healthy and do some exercise walk run something
sit up are great

please don't throw your food up or do anything dangerous! doing that may give you temporary results, but they come with their consequences. As the daughter of a physician, I have witnessed the detrimantal affects of such, as well as anorexia. Anorexic individuals may be skinny for a while, but the wieght will definitely catch up with them later in life, and if it doesn't they die or become really ill because they are not taking proper care of their bodies and are not getting enough nutrients. It sounds like you need to talk to your doctore about your concerns so that together, you can come up with a good plan for you. The key is discipline - you should also incorporate exercise into your diet if you haven't already. Lastly, drink plenty of water... and EAT BREAKFAST!! I'm begging you lol it is sooooo much better for you in the long run! and you don't have to eat traditional "breakfast" foods, just eat anything that you like as long as it's healthy. hope this helps!

if you don't at properly, it can also contribute to gaining weight.

It's suggested to eat less but more...so eat a little bit throught out the day. think about what you eat,

stay away from junk food ( I know its hard lol) but like for breakfast, try eating some oatmeal (at first it's gross....but then it's an acquired taste) i like the brown sugar one.

Switch the white bread for wheat bread.

Try to eat a lot of foods that contain fiber, google it, it also helps you with colon cancer.

Switch whole milk for 2% milk. You'll still get your calcium but less fat.

Good luck

you need a balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, good carbs, protein, fiber, whole wheat. you can't just not eat and think u will lose weight. in fact ,u will gain weight. u need to just cut calories but eat. and going to the gym helps, but only if you are eating. if u r starving yourself, don't put your foot at the gym. you will pass out. good luck.

it's not easy, there really is no easy way of getting yourself used to eating 'properly' again.

you really should eat 3 times a day, if you cant manage big portions, start with small ones. that way you will start to get used to eating 3 times. but you have to stick with it! just dont think about the food so much, just eat it, and try to do other things during the day, befor and after you eat so you can take your mind off of your fears.

You need to learn why people get fat, what to eat so you are not hungry all the time and also how you can maintain good energy throughout the day.

The book is: "Life Without Bread" by Christian Allan, Ph.D. Go buy the book and read it. You will gain knowledge that is very good science and you will see why these so called great diets being promoted are nothing more than good marketing schemes to keep them in the business of dieting, not health.

Do you actually believe that companies like Jenny Craig, Nutrisystem, etc. are in the business to see you lose weight and keep it off? They thrive on repeat business.

It's true that starving people are not fat, but at what cost. The same is true with starving Americans on diets.

Read the book, get smart and you will be happy.

good luck

its very easy to reduce weight ,.when you eat only eat no t.v no vodeo nothing only eating .chew very much eatbales in mouth make it liquid .and when you eat regular intervals take sip of water and water put in mouth and drink like wine .
