Are bread bowls bad for you?!

Question: They're one of my favorite things, but lately I'm trying to be more health concious. I was just surfing the net to see if it was proper etiquette to eat your bread bowl when you were finished (you can answer that one too if you'd like) and started to see stuff saying they were high in carbs. Is that bad?

The more carbs there is.. the more calories there are. Carbs aren't bad... if you use them as energy. They give you energy. If you just sit down all day, the carbs are going to turn into fat.
I looked up a bread bowl on calorieking.com and one from quizno's is about 700 calories. You are suppose to eat about 2000 calories a day to maintain weight. If you are losing... about 1500 calories.
Some people are really afraid of carbs but in all reality foods that are meaty or cheesy are lot worst because they are pure fat. If you are active carbs are very good. Athletes strive on carbs.

duhhh... Bread bowls are 100% bread. You think they're carb-free? Trying using a ceramic or plastic bowl, instead.

Bread bowls are actually better for you than normal bread, as the portion that is cut out contains all the carbohydrates.

Well, it depends. Are they whole grain bread bowls? If not, then yes, they are very bad for you. On the other hand, if you are eating whole grain breads and are working them into your allowed carb intake, then you are absolutly fine. Hope this helps.

how can something so good be bad for you??
bread is bread-i shoot for organic bread bowls and feel good that i am not eating artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives.
