How do i run longer?!

Question: right now i can run 1 minute without stopping comfortably, and 2 minutes w/o stopping if i try hard enough. it's a bit of a strain though.

i need to get to 20 minutes without stopping by the end of may, so does anyone know what i can do to accomplish that?

speed and distance doesn't really matter, so i can run slow if need be, although faster is better.

how long should i exercise on the treadmill and how should i run? when should i start increasing time?

and does dieting help me run longer, and if so, what kind of diet?

thanks so much! i reallllly need help on this.

hey good for you, I'm in the same boat, right now I try to run a whole song with out stopping. There is an article called" from coach potato to 5k in 5 weeks", or something like that. It says to run a minute, walk 2 minutes, then the second week, run 2 minutes, walk one minute. Each week you increase, then soon you are running.

Run everyother day. Every week, try to run a little longer. Push yourself. First week, try 2 min. with 1 min breaks (or whatever you can) 2nd week, 3 min and 1 min. and so on.

Good luck!!!!

breathe through nose exhale through mouth pace yourself go at a speed that is fast but doesn't tire you don't think about how long it is until 20 minutes think of something that makes you happy and you'll do great

hey ive been on my track team for 3 years now and i had to run longer and still be comfortable....my secret is to walk/run for 10 minutes a day. even if you feel tired it rele helps. now im able to run longer without feeling pain. It really helps if you eat some carbs before you run because it'll give you enough energy to process. I hope this helps. :)

The only way to run longer is to start running. The more the better but don't overexcert yourself. Run/jog as far as you can before you can't go any more and then walk for a while (don't just stop altogether) and catch your breath and then start again. It sounds like you're looking for an easy way out on this and the only way is by putting in the work. I personally don't like treadmills, so I also suggest running outside. Fresh air is good! :D

What the hell?!!! This is a stupid question!
Speed and distance don't matter?!!!!
Then anyone can do this without training.
