Is broccoli still really healthy even if you don't eat the stems and only ea!

Question: Typically, the darker the veggie, the more vitamins it has, so the tops are probably more nutritious than the stems. So if you don't want to eat the stems, don't eat them...but keep eating the tops.

The top part contains nutrients but also has the "gas factor" the stems contain a lot of nutrition but I suggest peeling the outer layer with a potato peeler and enjoy.

the top part is the healthier part...so yeah cuz the darker the vegie the healthier it is.

It is still dark green, so yes, it is still healthy.

Broccoli is one of the most nutritious vegetables, it contains complex carbohydates (fiber), protein, vitamin C, vitamin A, potassium, folic acid, calcium and iron. Broccoli is also a good source of anti-oxidants such s beta carotene, folic acid and lutein. It is believed that Broccoli helps regulate blood sugar, prevent high cholesterol, ulcers and viral infections. Oh yes, broccoli is a super food. When steamed or sliced and marinated raw in vinegar, salt, pepper and oil, it is a good source of calcium and it is also a good source of antioxidant. It is a good cleanser. the stems should be peeled and sliced. do not over cook because it looses its value.
