she's not going to gain weight unless she overeats & doesn't exercise!

you're right, that is not enough to nourish oneself

whoa she could have anorexia (it's not necessarily how you look, it's more of a mindset)

she should learn how to commit to a healthy lifestyle

How old is she?!? Depending on how old she is she could be making her way into a eating disorder. Keep her away from the weight loss foods like weight watchers.... she needs to be eating meat or protein! Sit and talk with her and tell her that she CAN'T gain weight (this is very true) if she adds chicken and fish into her diet.

You could try telling her that by not eating enough, she is slowing down her metabolism, and therefore working against herself. She's definitely not eating enough.

That is not enough nutrition for a growing girl. It is not just about weight, you as a mother need to make sure she has what she needs to develop properly and avoid health risks associated with malnutrition. Even if she is not very skinny she may have an eating disorder. Either way you need to take charge of the problem now before it escalates into a life long battle. She may feel pressure from friends, feel out of control in other aspects of her life or be modeling after someone - do you often diet or talk about your weight?

Thats not bad, Ive only eaten a bowl of cereal, some dried fruit and sesame snaps. She will be ok. Once she sees that she is not gaining weight, she will go back to normal.
