Is losing 20 lbs in 3 months sensible or even doable?!


Question: I walk at about 3.4 mph for an hour everyday and do about 100 crunches. I don't eat very much, mostly veggies and chicken.

THATS YOUR PROBLEM, YOU NEED TO EAT MORE OFTEN!

You should be eating every 3 hours, drinking tons of water, like 5L a day at least. and you should do weights then cardio, most people don't burn any "fat" unitl after warming up for like 25-40 mins, so if you walk for an hour you've only burned like 20 mins worth. I am competiting in a fitness comp in april and this is what i follow and it works!

Wake-up: ? L of water, take your multi, CLA, chromium, and 1000mg Vit C,

i love the cream of brown rice more than oatmeal. its yummy with stevia or splenda and cinnamon. cook it in a huge plastic bowl though it's like a volcano in the microwave, lol.. 1/4 with 1 cup water for 4 mins, its perfect.

meal 1

Drink a low carb, low sugar, low fat 30 gram protein shake with 1/2cup skim milk
and

? cup oatmeal with 1/2 tbsp flax oil (pour it on after it has been cooked) or take an Udo's oil pill and 5 strawberries in it. . or use can have 1/4cup of cream of brown rice cereal.

Meal 2

4 oz chicken breast

1 cup of green beans or spinach salad ( 1 tbsp max of either hellman's spray dressings, or Renee's japanese ginger dressing)

Pre-workout Snack

1 grapefruit and 10 almonds, TBSP of glutamine

Weights: then cardio post weights 40-45 minutes 5 times per week, and once on the weekend for 50 minutes



Post workout Meal 3

Drink a low carb, low sugar, low fat 30 gram protein shake

w/ a TBSP of Glutamine, and another 1000mg of Vit C

? cup oatmeal or 1 serving (1/4 cup of cream of brown rice) (drop to 1-2 rice cake on non-weight training days, or 1 piece ezikiel toast dry)

Meal 4

1 can tuna or 8 egg whites

10 banana pepper rings rinsed

Meal 5

4 oz chicken with some spinach (2-3 cups)

Snack

4 oz cod, tuna, orange roughy with 8 asparagus spears or celery with 1 tbsp hummus

INSTRUCTIONS:

-minimum 6 L daily of water crystal light, and tea are ok too.

-multivitamin daily, Vitiman C 2000mg, and B complex 100, Biotin is a great to take as well, its cheap like $5 at gnc and metabolizes carbs and fats. I take it after my workout with that meal.

-7-9 hours sleep min..

Well, I reduced my diet to this once and lost 10 punds in the first week and 5 every following week, so it is possible and defenitly doable. At the end of the day if you take some fiber supplements you can eat a snack without it messing up your whole day. Hope this helped.

yes, it absolutely is, i would mix up your work out though, it keeps your body losing fat and doesn't give it time to adapt which slows progress, in your case that is fat loss, and in mine its muscle gain, so good luck with your weight loss :)

20lbs is reasonable and very doable but you have to make sure that you are eating enough food to support your work out plan or your body will go into starvation mode. And instead of losing weight you can gain. Also Dont spot train. DO NOT do crunches everyday. You should do cardio five days a week and 2 -3 days out of the week you should do strenth training which includes crunches, you can overwork your muscles and that too cal lead to you gaining muscle under fat which wont make you look leaner but instead make you look bulky without definition.
