If I lose weight, will I be confident in myself?!

Question: OR, will Iose the weight and still feel the same?

Thanks...cause I am thinking if I lose weight everyone will respect me more, and I will look great and I will feel so much better about myself, but I am starting to think that it isn't all it seems. Cause beauty comes from within right? I am just so confused.

Thanks again xx

You may be more confident about your body if your weight is really bothering you, but you wont change your life and feel a huge increase in self esteem overall. Its not magic.
I lost all my weight, feel great physically, but i'm still the same person. Some days I feel downright ick and ugly still.
When I changed inward my self esteem improved, my attitude was better and in turn people received me better.
Yes beauty is inward...think of the most beautiful people you know....are they all thin and "attractive"? Probly not, I see people as beautiful for who they are. I'm sure you do too. I've seen some very attractive people with lousy attitudes which lose all their attractive appeal when they open their mouth. I see ppl who arent hollywood beautiful that are so terrific, i see them as beautiful ppl.
Treat others as you want to be treated, be considerate and loving, people will love that and respect you and see you as beautiful and you will feel great!
As you know...everyone's looks fade anyway ;). work on the part that will last and affect others. Make others feel special and loved and it will come right back to you. best wishes. xx

u should be confident within ur self weight and appearence doesn"t matter. The confidence within u can make a difference

Losing weight will help make a good first impression (my wife found this out after losing almost 100 pounds.). A true lasting impression and self-confidence are things that come from your own self image. It is hard for others to accept you, if you do not accept yourself.

Right, beauty does come from within. Being thinner will help you feel better about yourself if you want to lose the weight for yourself and no one else. Confidence is the real thing that comes from within us. It's not easy for some people to have confidence about themselves. You just have to work hard at it.

Depends... if your appearence is truly what's holding you back, and if you have reasonable expectations, then losing weight will restore your confidence. If you have other hang-ups, or if you have a psychological disorder like anorexia nervosa which prevents you from ever being satisfied with your appearence, then it will not help.

But becoming more fit will certainly make you healthier and more energetic, which is cause enough to pursue a more active and consciensious lifestyle!

Yes, beauty comes from within. But if you want to feel fit and proud of yourself and your body...not in a vain way just in a look what I did...I have the power to change my body then losing weight is the best way to gain that control and confidence. What I did was get 2 packages. The one for weight loss from www.independentachievement.com It literally saved me from my sugar addiction and got me drinking more water and stopped me from overeating. I actually got it both on cd and download. They even have a confidence recording. The other is the home exercise boot camp set of dvds called P90X from www.beachbody.com

Confidence does not come from how you look...but from how you feel. You may feel better about yourself if you lose weight, but it will not make you much more confident. That comes from something much more than beauty and physical looks. It is your very essence...your very being...it comes from who you are as a person, not what you look like. Take for example Queen Latifah. She is not one of those anorexic women, yet she is one of the most beautiful women I have seen. Why? She knows who she is, likes who she is and confeys that from the inside out. It has nothing to do with her weight or her looks...yet to me she is stunning. How do you build confidence? I started by following the "Three R's" of life:
Respect for self.....Respect for others....Responsibility for your own actions.

u will be sleepy in my pants if you are a can of tuna aND ham pickle soup
