Does dietary fat aid in muscle growth?!

Question: is a slice of cheese and maybe a spoonfull of peanut butter each day enough to satisfy my daily requirement for fat for optimal muscle growth? i get plenty of protien and carbs and i weigh 150 lean. i read somewhere than fats are necessary for proper hormone releses like growth hormone (hgh) and i think that on some days i go with almost no fat in my diet except for the little bit thats in grilled chicken or whatever. any input? thanks for your answers!
