The number one supplement that you need is whey protein (i prefer gold standard brand), protein is the building blocks for muscle and it is very important that you have it in your system if you want to build muscle.

The next that you should take is a Nitric Oxide (NO) supplement, such as NO Xplode or SuperPump 250 (which i prefer). These act as a "souped up" energy drink, giving your body extreme energy that will help you with your lifts immensely, allowing you to do more reps with more weight, which leads to more muscle

finally, i would start taking a multi-vitamin, i prefer gnc's mega man sport, it has a sports blend which will help with energy for lifting, and a bunch of other vitamins which will help to stimulate protein synthesis, the process that builds muscle

anyway, hope i helped and
good luck!

there are 3

1. protien shakes look for a powder that has a high protien low cholesterol % Wal-mart carries a decent brand of protien poder but there a plenty of others out there.

2. A good multivitamin taken daily will really help your body.

3. I know you said no creatine but if I were you I would try it. It doesn't really make you bigger it just helps heal your muscles after a workout by letting more blood flow in the muscle.

Also muscle won't turn into fat they are 2 completely different tissues, thats like saying an apple can turn into orange juice. Muscles can get alot less tone over time and look like fat but they will never turn into fat.

Protein shakes would be a good start. I would try one high in protein (and tastes good) like ProNos. It's made by MRI and you can find it at GNC.
Also, do not take creatine, you are too young.

go to gnc

try whey protein from eas
