Why are my arms different sizes?!

Question: I've been working out lately, running several miles a day, working my biceps, triceps and abdomen.

My left bicep is 14 inches, and my right is 13 inches, at the biggest part, also I'm working both arms the same ammount.

I'm taking the measurments correctly, and I am right handed.

Also, I'm 15.

What could be causing this?

I don't reccommend this but it gives me a theory. What if you do so much with you right arm (since you are right handed) and the little mundane things you do during the day is with your right arm. People settle into what is called a 'plateau effect' in which the body gets used to constant exercise and the exercise isn't as effective as you continue. So what if your right hand has settled into a plateau effect and your left still has maximum potential for muscle building since you use it less than your right arm. Again, I don't think it's the right answer, but it's a theory.

Why are you measuring you arms? No one else cares.

Since you are left handed, the left (dominant) side of your body does more work throughout the day. Little things can really add up over time. You could start doing one or two extra reps for your right side during your exercises and keep taking measurements until the difference diminishes, but in reality most people are slightly asymmetrical, so I wouldn't worry too much.

edit: Whoa! I totally thought that you said you were left-handed. My bad.

In this case, I'm not sure why your left arm is bigger (unless, and don't take offense to this, you use your left hand during masturbation) but just reverse my initial advice and do a couple more reps with your right side until the difference diminishes if it bothers you.

Peace.
