Is climbing stairs best way to lose weights?!


Question: I am 21, 5.6", and weigh about 150 lbs. I am very lazy and inactive. I tried going to gym everyday but with full time classes it just don't happen. I love to walk and try it whenever I can but as I said my laziness stops me from going outside. Anyway, my campus is a 5 storeys high building and I was wondering if climbing those stairs up and down everyday will help me lose calories and burn my fat? Is there any shortcoming to that?

You'd have to do it for at least 20-30 minutes straight every day to make a significant difference, but taking the stairs some is better than none.

If you climb the stairs for at least a half hour a day I wouldn't see why not.. But if you aren't doing it consistently not really. It really won't make you lose weight.. Maybe some calories.
