What time of the day is best to weigh your self?!


Question: I was just wondering.. I know that throughout the day you gain allot of weight due to water ..and of course food.. I always way my self early in the morning before I eat. The weight I see on the scale in the morning ..is that my accurate weight?

PS .. I was also wondering what kind of floor is best to weigh your self? Exp tile, wood etc

I always weigh myself when I first wake up, after going to the bathroom. Considering that's usually when the weight is the lowest, it's the one I accept as my "real" weight. I weigh myself on a tile floor.

Yeah i'd say that in the morning, after going to the toilet but before eating would be the most accurate weight reading. I think a solid surface is the best so tiles or wood would be fine but carpets are soft and tend to weigh you lighter than you are so i wouldn't use a thick carpetted floor.

I like to weight my self first thing in the morning, every morning. It is the most consistent. Hard floor. Not on carpeting.

it depends on many things...but yes the best time is at morning after going to the bathroom

You have noticed yourself something that I have lived by and tell my clients. To weigh in the morning, naked, is not a true reading. I say get on the scale early evening, before dinner, do it at this time every day to get an accurate weight of what you are walking around as during the day. Your life includes work and seeing people throughout the day. Your morning weight can be 3 lbs. less than your afternoon weight. Always use your afternoon/early evening weight. If you follow this for a couple of weeks it could be a good indicator of what your having for lunch and snacks.

Also, the floor type of wood or tile won't matter, just no carpet. Most important is to weigh yourself in the same place.

i weight myself every saturday morning before breakfast and after i go to the bathroom. i weigh myself on tile floor. do not weigh yourself on the carpet!! it screws up the reading. i weigh 134.6lbs and on the carpet i weight only 73lbs ! lol.. not true:P
in the morning is the best time ever to weight yourself..
