Do diets really work?!

Question: If they do then which ones work?

Answers: If they do then which ones work?

My wife is using the weight watchers one and it seems to be working fine
Another one that is very good is the low Gi diet and is used by a lot of Diabetics and doesn't make you feel hungry all the time.

The ones that are managible and are right for your body and lifestyle.

diets do work but not fad diets!!
anthing that can make you still live life and manage to diet
it is all portion control
you can have whatver you want as long as it is smaller portions

Well, those diets that you buy or pay for don't work. Some do though; it all depends on what you're trying to achieve. Some examples are;

- The McDiet (like in Super Size Me); it works for gained weight rapidly and decreasing your health
- Fasting for 3 weeks will gets you to lose weight; just drink plenty of water and take a multi-vitamin
- The best diet out there is to just eat what's recommended by the FDA; you do that by reading food labels and staying to a 2,000 or 2,500 calorie diet.

it does but u have to follow it to have ur results that you want or else wat was the hole point if u r not gonna follow a diet.

Diets don't work because the word "diet" implies that it is only temporary. If you change your lifestyle so it includes healthy eating and exercise, that's really the only way to lose weight and keep it off.

Some things that help include:
- drinking lots of water every day (helps keep your appetite under control and hydrates you for exercise)
- doing cardio exercise at least 3 or 4 times a week for 10 minutes (it does wonders for heart health and increases your metabolism)
- eating about 5 small meals a day instead of 3 large ones (also to keep metabolism going)
- learn how to read ingredient and nutrition fact labels on food packages so you know how healthy your food is
- try cooking your own meals when you get the chance, and replace the recipe's ingredients with healthier alternatives (replace sugar with splenda, milk with soy milk, butter with olivio, etc)
- take a multivitamin with breakfast (you should take it with food so your body will metabolize the vitamin)
- increase the amount you walk each day. For example, park your car at a further spot than you usually would, take the stairs instead of the elevator. Walking up stairs burns calories rapidly.

Those are some things that I do and they really help.
