My measurements are strange?!

Question: I was measuring myself for the fun of it to see if I could get better results in 6 months by eating differently and exercising. My measurements are 38-29-41, but I feel like that is really improportionate. Does anyone think that seems off?

also, does anyone know if there is an equation to find out what body parts lose weight the fastest or slowest? like... you lose weight in your arms 3x faster than in your thighs? that's made up but I wanted to kind of estimate my measurements in the future.

Those measurements sit with each other perfectly, actually. You have a little bit of an hourglass figure, that's all. And, your hips/butt SHOULD be bigger than your top by a couple of inches, as a woman.

As for rate of loss in different body parts, most of it varies a great deal person to person. The only really across the board stat for that is that most people will trim up their legs, especially their calves, much more quickly than the rest of themselves in a good weight loss program. This is due to the fact that most cardio activities heavily involve the legs. The rest of the body catches up eventually. Most women lose breast fat before other areas, but this is not always the case. Personally, I have never seen that in myself, but many women do have that occur. One of the areas hardest to target is the waistline, but if you do the toning exercises AND the cardio, you should be able.

Good luck.

that means your kinda fat :(

No it sounds normal. I'm 39-29-40 and I thought that I was weird as well, but I asked my trainer and she said that was perfectly normal. Plus everyones body is different and forms differently.

Jess M is right. Genetics play a big part in how our body develop. Everyone of us have measurements that are the aftermath of the genes that we have received from our parents and ancestors.
