Has anyone used the exercise ball to lose weight and tone muscles?!


Question: I bought one of the big exercise balls to do crunches and the other workouts that goes with it and I was wondering if it really helps. I know with the crunches it works because I can feel it today after doing them yesterday. Gotta any suggestions so I can have a good workout.

Gym balls are great for core work outs though you'll have a hard time losing a lot of weight on one. To lose weight you need to raise your heart rate, which the gym ball does little of. As far as toning goes, gym balls are as good as any peice of expensive gym equipment and cost just a fraction of gym membership. There are many other exercises that you can do other than crunches. A quick search on the web will give you some good ideas on other excercises to do to help tone the arms, back, hips and thighs and your butt

I believe that those balls and the exercises for this are great; however, I don't think it works for everybody.
