I've stopped smoking on Champix 5 months ago and now I've started puttin!


Question: I am natuarally very healthy eater and even when I snack I try to be very healthy, loads of fruits, veg nuts you name it! Since I've stopped smoking i have constant constipation and the only time I go to the loo is when I take laxitives! I feel horrible as I 've started to put on the weight and I am beggining to hate

Only drink water and get more exercise if your already eating well. Spices and caffeine also speed up matabolism......so add a little spice and drink 2 cups of "green tea" daily. Eating well is good........but exercise is also something humans NEED to live well. A high fiber diet is also reccomended. Women need atleast 17-20 grams a day. Eat more oats.

To regulate digestion.......try eating a yogurt called "Activia" for two weeks to build up your digestion again.

Smoking cessation and weight problems are not directly related. The only link is your eating habits have changed since you stopped smoking.

Exercise to help you digest and pass food more easily, and eat lots of fibre.

i put on alot of weight too when i quit 6 months ago and went from 140-170 in like a month from just binging on ice cream and crap food, but it was wort it because ive quit smoking for good. it took me like 3 months to loose the weight i gained but its off now and i dont smoke and i would say to you who cares if you put on some weight, if your really a very healthy eater then you will go back to your regular eating habits after a couple of weeks. Keep with it, dont give up you can do it! try geting more fiber in your diet too, a bowl of rasin bran every morning aughta do the trick.

I have packed up smoking for 8months now,,when your body gets smoke free,,your weight will level out,,,,,try a little Diet,,,and Constipation ,,try Horlicks at night,,,,works everytime with me,,,,,
