What fitness gym do you belong to?!

Question: Gold's Gym which recently converted to Urban Active in my Area...love it for the cardio cinema and my personal trainer is there.

Bally Total Fitness...like the older equipment, belonged there for years so I am comfortable there...LOVE the kickboxing classes.

Old School Gym which I also see a trainer there 1x per week. It is truely a bodybuilder/weightlifters gym for serious workouts only...the above 2 are sometimes fluff infested with people who want to socialize or just go there to look cute and be seen...sometimes I have to pick my gym based on my mood.

I love them all for different reasons and I have yet to find a gym that has it all

The one 5 mins around the corner :)

Gold's Gym -- we haven't had much trouble with them sans their adversion to cleaning the parking lot after it snows.

We pay $65/month for 2 adults and 2 kids.

That's $50 for two adults, $10 for daycare for kid 1 and $5 for daycare for kid 2.

Considering the YMCA around us wanted to charge over $100/month and have us pay $1/hour/kid on top of that, it's quite a deal.

Peak Fitness in Greenville, SC. 2 Gyms in the area I can go to and opening a new one, so can go to all 3 for $25 a month. Also in the town by mine there is another one that I can go to if I happened to be there visiting family. Probably one of the best and cheapest gyms in my area.

None of them.

I am into weightless exercises so I don't have a need for a gym. Have belonged to several and I prefer a gym with a nicely structured swimming pool area that offers water aerobics. I also enjoy a good hot tub, steam room, and sauna. I also like co-ed over seperating such places by gender (I'm a guy and sometimes guys can really make me uncomfortable, and I have turned some into the police for trying to cop a feel on me... such a report allows gyms to cancel their memberships and bar them from ever using the facilities again).

If you are a beginner, the Y is excellent for you, the one that is close to me requires you using their training area for half a year before using their regular machines. In the training area you have programs developed for you and you learn what exercises build what muscles and the proper way to do things for best effect.

I workout at the Kosher Gym (don't ask) it's only called that
because men and women are separated. I only joined
because I wanted to use the pool and it's not even built yet
so I'm building and building my physique in the gym though that's not what I wanted at first.
