I am starting a diet and all the recipes and meals ask for margarine with no tra!

Question: I went to Wal-mart and looked at all the margarines and all have salt listed in the ingredients...I didn't even see any that were low in sodium. I know that butter comes unsalted but has anyone seen unsalted margarine?

I've never seen unsalted margarine. I think your best choice would be to buy an oil mister...you can get one at home stores like Bed, Bath &Beyond. That way, you can fill it with a healthy fat, like olive oil, safflower, or canola. Either that, or buy Pam.

When eating things like a baked potato, try reduced fat sour cream, or salsa. On veggies, it's better not to use anything at all. Eventually, you get used to it.

I'm not sure about that but my fiance is on a diet and we use Pam instead of oil when it comes to come cooking. I didn't realize Pam isn't all that bad for you and they even have an olive oil pam.

Just a little tip...if the diet calls for margarine, I wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole. Margarine is extremely bad for you. And as I NEVER eat margarine, I've never looked for it salted or unsalted.. sorry.

Use vegetable oils instead. They contain zero cholesterol. Use only a small amount though as any oil is pretty high in fat

I bought unsalted butter last week. At wally land..
If you cannot use butter than do not put margarine in the dinner...
