How to ...?!

Question: I just bought a new blender to make milk shakes and smoothies. So far all I'm doing is mixing strawberries and milk with sugar and honey, but it doesn't taste that good and is not thick.
I don't wanna add ice cream coz I'm trying to lose weight. Any suggestions?

Replace the sugar for just honey and add low fat yogurt

Add yogurt or sherbert.

Try and find a cooking website or something.

add yogurt...and go to the kraft website :]

Yogurt is definately the go here. Cut back on the sugars though. Honey is good but there is such thing as too much of a good thing

If you want to lose weight you should not be sweetening your drinks - it won't taste too wonderful at first but if you remove sugar from your diet you will notice that everything will start to taste sweeter after a couple of weeks.

Note: Avoid artificial sweeteners - especially Aspartame (Nutra Sweet) - they are definitely not good for your body and Aspartame is a poison that affects your brain chemistry.

If you absolutely MUST sweeten things and still want to minimize calories check out Stevia extract at a good health food store.

Back to your smoothies - to make them thicker, put in more fruit and less milk. You can also use bananas - they thicken things well when blended. You can also add whey powder for added protein.
