Is it true, the more fat, then the more muscles you get?!


Question: Hello, again i am current working out(weight lifting)and i was wondering, does a bigger person with more fat, do there fat turn to muscle opposed to a more smaller skinner person. thats all i wanted to know thanks.

No, fat does not turn into muscle.

Your body uses the protein that you eat to make muscle.

When you eat carbohydrates they provide the muscles with energy.

Fat you eat is stored as fat. Excess protein and carbohydrates are also stored as fat.

You must burn more energy than you eat to lose fat.

As you build muscle mass on your body your body will metabolize energy more quickly and you will lose fat faster.

Any good book on weight lifting should cover this in depth in the diet and nutrition section.

Fat and muscle are two different things. You can not change one into the other.
