For a woman - Free weights or weight machines?!
Question: Which would be better for me? I am trying to tone and lose weight - I do running too for cardio but am starting with weights now.

Free weights allow for a greater range of motion so generally you will see better results, BUT there is more room for bad form than there is with machines; that will affect results. Use a combination of the two or switch it up once in a while.
Doesn't make any difference -- you have to use them to see results...
I would recommend free weights for anyone.
