Why do my forearms hurt after I lift weights?!


Question: When I work on my biceps lifting a barbell, I'll feel this pain in the middle of my forearm sometimes and when I put the barbell down I'll feel this sharp pain through out my forearm but it only lasts about 30-40 seconds. Does anyone know why ? or what I'm doing wrong .. Thanks!

Just a suggestion, try holding the barbell with your thumb on the same side as your other fingers (instead of wrapped around the barbell). Might also be from the pump, engorging your forearms with blood.

sounds like you are straining the muscles in the forearm from the workout.
