Is there a diet that allows you to eat 48 donuts a day and still lose weight?!

Question: I got an email in my mailbox today telling me about "The Krispy Kreme Diet Plan". It alleges that you can eat as many KK a day with a minimum of 48 (4 dozen) and lose 8.2 lbs a week. Apparently the scientists at Krispy Kreme have discovered that if you eat 48 or more donuts a day that your body goes into a metabolic super drive and you are in a constant weight loss mode. The email alleges that you will feel energised and satisfied. Supposedly the weight loss is rapid, 8.2 lbs a week, and permanent too. They say that so long as you keep eating 4 dozen donuts a day you can not gain back the weight.
Does this sound okay? I really need to lose some weight and I am desperate too try anything.

yeah, that'll work alright

That sounds dumb. If anything you will get diabetes from that diet, not weight loss. Or vomit.

Just stick with traditional diet and excercise and you'll get there. Just work hard, and keep at it.

That won't work! Its just stupid.

The Krispy Kreme stocks have plummeted and now they are getting desperate!!! They fired their last CEO and this is the new master plan of the next moron! Try it good luck!

Hahahaha yeah right! Funny boy.

No way! I can't beleive you would consider this. The e-mail is a scam. Depending on which doughnut you eat, it is anywhere between 200 and 350 calories x 48 = 9600 - 16800 calories per day! For women, daily intake should only be about 1940, and men about 2550. You will gain weight very fast and be unhealthy. Delete the e-mail and look at other things. Cut back on calories, start doing cardio. To lose one pound of fat, you need to burn 3500 calories. If you burn 250 calories per day, and cut 250 back from what you eat each day, you could lose 1 pound in a week.

Sorry, but Y is right. A plain Krispy Kreme donut contains 250 calories. 48 donuts a day equals 12,000 calories...roughly the caloric needs of an 800 pound person. So, unless you weigh over 800 pounds, you aren't going to be losing weight on that diet.

The email is spam. You've been sitting in front of a computer too long if you think it could possibly be true. Get a little exercise, steer clear of the Krispy Kremes, and you'll start losing the weight.
