Your results will vary with how you look when you start. When I weighed 300 lbs. I could not see results for the first 20 lbs lost. but people could. I saw them after about 30 lbs. and I noticed my clothes fitting more loose. Also, I remember about 3 months into the working out, When I was brushing my teeth I noticed my biceps bulging! It was awesome!

It depends on what you were doing before, what exercises you are doing, and what your goals are in terms of results. For example, if your goal is to get a more toned, muscular body, a routine involving about half weight lifting and half cardio would be your target. The muscle training would build your muscle tone while the cardio would reduce your fat level. You could begin to notice results as soon as two or three weeks, and others may begin to notice shortly afterward, depending on the intensity of your workout. If your goal is just to slim down overall, a routine involving mostly cardio would probably be your target, and again the speed of results would depend on your intensity level during that hour. For example, are you running at a 7 minute mile pace or walking at a 20 minute mile pace? It makes a huge difference in how quickly you get results. Overall, if you're constantly increasing the intensity of your workout, your results will come faster. Be sure you're exersising at your own body's capacity and pushing for improvement every time. That will allow you to see performance improvement quickly, and will force your body to adjust constantly to the new requirements of energy. The more you do, the faster your results, but be sure not to injure yourself. With weights, you can often get better results by doing more repetitions at a lower weight than trying for your max weight every time. Example: If you do 30 reps at 50 lbs each, you've moved 1500 lbs. If your max weight is 75 lbs and you can only do it 10 times, you've only moved 750 lbs. Choose something that will challenge your body but still maximize the amount of work you do, and your workout will be more effective.

Well be sure to get a good mix of cardio and some lifting in, also, you want take AT LEAST one day of rest from the gym especially if your lifting, since you need time to let your muscles recover. Depending how intense your workouts are you could see some results in like 3 weeks maybe a little sooner depending on your body type. If your looking to build muscle be sure to take a whey protein shake within 30 minutes after a workout to maximize gains.
