Aches and Pains?!


Question: I go to aerobics 2-3 times a week for 2 weeks then I miss a week due to the shifts i work. So I went on Sunday and I am due to go tonight. My legs arms and stomach are killing me which happens everytime I have to miss the 3rd week am I meant to go or are you meant to not exercise when you are still aching? Thanks for your help

You should go, the problem that you are having is that you are not STRECHING!!! so lactic acid builds in your muscles,making that annoying ache!
What you can do is take a hot bath with some epson salts (or any "relaxing stuff that girls like") and take some ibuprofen, this will lessen the pain. But really, strech more often. In a week or two you wont have that problem, keep it up!
And GO NOW!

The aching is probably just coz your using muscles which dont normally get used so much in everyday life. I wouldn't worry and it's ok to exercise when you are aching but if you are in too much pain then give yourself a couple of days off to recover.

Before and after exercise you should eat protein, because when you are exercising your muscles are getting damaged because of the work your putting them under. Therefore before you workout have some nuts and maybe a bit of cheese, and then do this after, or even just have a protein shake, which you can usually get from your local gym. It works for me everytime and you will see an improvement with how you feel afterwards
