Looking for tips to loose 30 pounds over a 3 - 4 month period.?!


Question: I'm a 5'9 14 year old male, weighing 180 pounds. I am looking to loose the weight over a 3 - 4 month period, seeing as it is unhealthy to loose more than 1 - 2 pounds per week, and do not plan to gain it back. I don't eat any junk food, I eat a balanced diet averaging 1,400 - 1,600 calories per day; it's the lack of activity that has me at my current weight. I would like to know any exercises out there which are good for burning fat, to help me loose the weight. I already bike on a daily basis, but I realize that's not enough.

That's good you already have the right amount of calorie intake. Cardio, aerobics 30-60 minutes a day and weight and resistance training should do the trick. It helped me I lost about 25-30 pounds from this. Hope this helps :)

I tried a lot of diets before going for lap banding... so, I'd say that, if you do not exercise and don't move (no walking, no physical job, etc.), you don't need 1400 or 1600 calories per day and 600 up to 1000 are enough.

So, if you eat 1000 calories per day and exercise 1 hour per day, you'll lose a lot of weight in a small amount of time: you just have to burn more calories than you eat them ;-)
