Question: Walking on the treadmill for 55 minutes a day doesn't work.

Links would be nice, too!

a tread mill is working on your body as a whole and not focusing the attention on your stomach which is the area you want to improve.
obviously sit ups/crunches will help but with them its more technique than amount you do,you can use ab crunchers to assist and also i have a fitness ball which i rest my legs on,the ball is flat agaisnt my knee and i bring myself to meet my knees
over in england we also have machines called power plates,(this is going to souns dodgy) you sit on them in either a squat or sit up poistion and they vibrate for 15 seconds this gets rid of celluite and tones you up

sit ups - lots and lots of sit ups

i do 30 situps every evening to tone my belly.

sit ups!

You need to take in less calories than you burn off to lose your belly. No exercises can cause fat loss in specific areas. Sit ups will build the muscle behind the fat, but not make it go away. Walking is a good start. I suggest trying something like sparkpeople.com to begin with.

A combination of ab exercises (sit ups, etc.) and cardio. Just doing sit ups is way less effective than the combination of cardio (running, jogging) and ab exercises. Also, remember to eat healthy. Eating 3000 calories a day of crappy foods but exercising your butt off won't do anything.

STARVATION EXCERCISE. works for me, or i usually just eat half of my dinner/ throw the other half away. less calories=less weight.

it takes a bit of time Mrs. Crosby. One trip on the treadmill for 55minutes isn't going to get rid of 54" round belly

the ab scissor IT WORKS

A great workout is to do lots of crunches and sit ups thats how i stay in shape

belly dancing works really good for me!
i hateee crunches and sit ups

You can't really get rid of fat in one area. You can tone that area, but not necessarily get rid of the fat there. You have to do a lot of cardio to raise your heart rate so you burn more calories. You also have to cut calories from your diet. This way, you'll end up losing weight and that extra fat. Accompanied by bicycle crunches, your abdomen will start becoming more toned and flatter. Hope this helps.

Lay Flat On You Back. Hands Down On The Ground By Your Side. Lift Your Legs With Your Feet Together As Close Above The Ground As Possible. This Will Create Abs.

umm the treadmill does nothing thats working your legs try some crunches and situps and pull ups do yoga or work on a yoga ball it helps

You should do 6 inches. Lie down on the floor and lift your legs 6 inches of the ground. Do a lot of reps 30 seconds each. (to make it harder put weights on your legs) When you start to tone your core along with cardio it will work
