Hey hon, I have some good advice- I learned this from experience. I hope you choose this as the best answer because it works- I am 5'1" and I went from weighing 170 at my VERY highest when I was 17 (I am 22 now) and I was this much due to extreme overeating from depression(teenage years sucked and I ate ONLY fast food, bad I know). Anyway I chaanged my body completely and went from 170 to 95. I didnt do it all at once...Basically went from 170-140 in a year, then 140-130 in another year just by eating less but still all fast food. Then in summer of 2006 so about 2 yrs ago I went from 130-120 in a month when my ex broke up with me and I decided I was sick of being "chunky"- I am petite and small boned- so I started exercising and eating only healthy. NO fast food. NO soda. ONLY 1000 cal MAX-thats it. And I have developed a true passion for running. I went from 120 in Sept of 2006 to 100 by December 31st- Thats 4 months I lost 20 ls then I lost another 5 to get down to 95. Seriously--
-1000 cal max
-Run at LEAST 30-45 min consecutively every day
-Dont HAVE to weight train- I didnt at ALL and I went from being chunky to stick thin
-Eat Quaker weight control oatmeal EVERY morning with multivitamins and calcium pills at the SAME time every morning- for me between 6-7 am.
-Have an apple at 11 am. EVERYday at that time
-Salad with chicken for lunch
-Salad for dinner
-Fruit before bed
And its that simple!!!

There are three possible ways to gain body-fat: (1) Eat late at night (2) Exceed your normal caloric intake (3) Lack of exercise or physical activity.

When calories exceed normal levels, the "unused" surplus becomes body-fat. Lack of exercise limits metabolism speed. The metabolism must reach a certain speed in order to burn fat.

The best way to speed up your metabolism is through cardiovascular exercise. It is best to do cardio on an empty stomach. Overnight during sleep, calories are burned slowly. By morning, blood sugar and carb levels low. This empty stomach training forces the body to look for an alternate energy source, which is fat.

The second best way to speed up the metabolism is by increasing meal frequency. Try eating 4 - 5 small meals per day, or 3 meals and 2 healthy snack meals.

One of the best ways and easiest ways to lose fat is to reduce your calorie intake. Very simple substitutions can make a lot of difference. Here are some simple examples:
