Sister problems? She is not eating a lot?!

Question: Well...it's kind of a long story. In the 7th grade, I decided on my own that I would try to be healthier (by exercising and eating healthier foods.) My sister did this too. But up until now, she hasn't been eating a lot. She eats a little breakfast, one snack, sometimes skips lunch, and hardly eats dinner anymore. If she does, it's at 3:00 PM or a little snack. She lost 2 pounds under a day! I'm really worried about her! She keeps dropping pounds. And when I tell her to eat something, she just ignores me and goes in her room or something! She gives me the cold shoulder when I try to help her! What is wrong? She never listens to me and my parents don't have dinner with us because they are usually working past dinnertime. What should I do? She won't listen to me!

Hi May, just keep feeding her more peanut butter toasts!

Anyway, what you can do is to involve her more in sports if you can. Get her exercising that will use energy and works up her appetite. She will need to top up her energy if she is exercising more.

What exercise or sport does she likes to do? Preferably outdoor as fresh air can help kindle a healthy appetite too. Staying indoor is what makes a couch potato as little energy is expended.

See if this works. And eat healthy. Just ensure she gets her vegs, fruits and meat into her diet.

You need to talk to your parents about this. You shouldnt have to handle it on your own. Tell them how you feel and whats happening. They need to talk to her, and get help for her.

Edit: Havent they seen the weight she has lost? My parents noticed me straight away when I lost the first bit of weight.
Is there anyone else you could talk to about this? Another family member perhaps?

hi ur sister might have a problem with u being maybe a bit prettier than her and maybe also she has a competiton with u she also maybe wants her parents n friends to knw tat she is better than u or something like that i maybe wrong, but seriously if she isnt that fat or even if she is she need to take a meal thrice a day as it definitely isnt gud to skip meals it better if u dnt tell her personally as she might be thinking that u dnt want her to slim or look better than u. if she doesnt talk to u on this matter id suggest u talk to her abt every thing but this topic make her feel gud abt herself dnt talk too much abt urself or of ur self praise
after 2 3 days show her some kind of site regarding slimming or let her know tat starvation will tend to get her metabolism to slow down which in the end wont give her strength show her diet charts doctors forums tell her to make her metabolism to work better @ making her slim she needs a better chart tat doesnt starve her to death
if all that doesnt work take time to talk 2 ur parents
bcuz trust me if she keeps this habit going she will have to be sent to the hospital where they will give her those drips which will in the end increase her weight which will send her into depression

she sounds like she's developing an eating disorder. that's how i was when i developed anorexia nervosa.

You MUST talk to your parents. Have a serious conversation with them about your sister.

If your sister isn't listening to you then your parents need to be involved. Make them listen for the sake of her health.
