I'm thirteen and i want to lose weight?!


Question: im not fat looking. i look slim, and healthy but i'm not satisfied with my body. I have love handles, but i ussually look thin because i wear clothing that hides it. It sorta becomes a hassle, and for once i just want to wear something without having to worry over them. Any good breakfast lunch and dinner ideas.
and what type of excersise should i do to lose about five pounds in two weeks? :) ten stars will be given to best chosen answer. thankssss.

Your body is still evolving and will probably become thinner over time: at 13, it is the beginning of adolescence and the body BEGINS TO evolve through adolescence, you still have the curves of childhood and you will lose them gradually.

I would say like everybody else here that you'd better stop drinking sodas and prefer fruit juices and water, get exercise...

Do not start a diet.

We now know that children and teenagers who are dieting are also preparing a lifetime of weight loss diets.

Healthy eating is the solution: prefer English muffins to American muffins, eat at least one meal that includes meat, vegetables and potatoes and DO NOT eat meat in bread such as hamburgers or cheeseburgers, and so on ;-)

I'm 13 too and i have the same problem --;
i try to eat a lot of breakfast and less at lunch and a little as i can during dinner.
and no sweets, and i watch the calories. i also went to the gym and ran for like 30 min. and i lost six pounds in 10 days

pilates should be good for that. Stop drinking soda, and drink fruit juice sparingly. Drink alot of water, its very good for you :) eat more fruits and vegetables (bet you haven't heard that before) and try to cut down on the candy bars (one once in a while won't kill you) Hopefully that helps!

It sound like exercise will help you more than diet. If you want to go on a diet you really need to consult your doctor or a nutritionist first because you're young and still developing. I think you should do a bunch of crunches every day, and do the ones where you twist to the side because they target the obliques (love handle area). Also, it's pretty much impossible to lose 5 pounds in 2 weeks, at least not healthily. It's only healthy to lose 1-2 pounds a week and any faster than that you won't be able to keep it off and you might even get stretch marks which never go away and are unsightly. Also, the issue probably isn't as big a deal as you think it is, everybody has body flaws and it's just part of being human :-)
