I am REALLY skinny and i need muscles?!


Question: i am 5' 9" and weigh about 110 pounds. 14 years old
I have a really high metabolism and even though i eat ALOT i never gain weight. I want some chest and arm muscles but is it possible? i think i have to gain some weight but i have no equipment or anything? any suggestions?
(i already have a six pack since im skinny)

To help with gaining normal weight, as always first consult with a doctor. Then since you have such a fast metabolism at your age it may best to look in to a 2,000 plus calorie diet. BUT eating junk foods will not help at all. Seventeen magazine has great advice online and in their mag to help get in shape and be healthy.

If you have no equipment right now i would suggest going to a Walmart or Target and buying 3 or 5lb weights (2 of them).
Also, you are going through puberty, in a couple of years or sooner your metabolism will slow. I used to be like you, I ate and ate but nothing happened. Now I'm a senior in high school and my metabolism has slowed and so now i watch what I eat alot more.

Also, another way to help bulk at home without weights is just doing squats, lunges, push ups, toe raises. explore using Health magazine and Shape magazine for great and easy workout ideas.
Another thing that helped me get muscles was joining a sport. I started playing field hockey more intensely starting my freshmen year which helped me stay in shape, find great new friends, and pushed me to get stronger so i could be better.

Also, for your six pack, you don't just get a six pack from being skinny, you get a flat stomach. Do crunches, sit ups, and bicycle kicks to really get some hot killer abs.
