Wheat Bread?!

Question: I have a 15 year old son that has an eating disorder ( he refuses to eat) the only thing he eats willingly is peanut butter sandwiches, his dr said i should switch him to wheat bread. Which I have no problem with, however should I purchase store boughten bread, or make homemade wheat bread. Im not worried about how time consuming making bread is, if it will help my son then I will do it. My question is which would actually be better or is there no difference?

Store bought is fine. Go for whole grain or whole wheat NOT just bread that says "wheat bread". The word "whole" is important. It means that the whole wheat kernel was used with all the extra nutrients of the "wheat germ" and the fiber of the "wheat bran". Plain old wheat bread just means that it is made from wheat, not rice or corn or other grains.

ill go for the store one because its less time consuming, but if you wanna have fun, bake with you're kid!hehe.

When you weight out the hours it take to make bread vs. just buying some "double fiber" bread at the store, the beneits are to small for the effort.

Just make sure you buy a multi-grain with as much fiber as you can find. Hope this helps:)

multigrain bread is better than wheat bread, ask your doctor about multigrain. Get bread from the deli section and not the generic ones. The whole loaves that aren't cut yet last longer/

Buy it at teh store, don't waste your time. Arnold makes a great like of breads with whole grains, like "Healthy Nut" "Multigrain" and about 4 other varieties.
