Energy and Muscles?!
Question: I am wondering if well-used muscles require less energy when working out compared to muscles that are not used as often.
Example:
Person A regularily exercises.
Person B does not exercise at all.
Person A and person B are of both the same weight and age, and have the same diets (ones that are considered healthy).
Both persons run at the same speed for 2 minutes whilst using the same techniques.
Will person A use less energy to run compared to person B?

No and yes.
No because doing x amount of work requires x amount of energy,
but well used muscles are capable of getting more energy out of less substance as well that they generally accompany a good circulatory system that will use less energy to reduce lactic acid and other metabolites so that the muscles can perform longer.
