What to do after eating meals?!

Question: For proper digestion, should I keep standing for a certain amount of time before I'm allowed to sit down? How long do I have to wait to start exercising/running? Is walking right after good for you? What do you guys do right after meals?

I have read that you should wait about an hour before you start working out. You don't need to stand up straight to digest, your body does this all on its own regardless of how you are standing or sitting.

I have also read studies that showed that if you start working out right after a meal it may help in the long run.

I give it about half an hour before i start working out, or else i start to repeat my food lol and that does not taste well.

actually u shouldnt stand while eating at all really. u should sit down but if u can upright... you should wait for a little while for ur food to digest...around 15 minutes at least...or if u are going to do something do something easy such as just walking around etc

I think it was Hypocrites who advised that eating should be done during a time of leisure, and it should be done at regular times. Usually when I eat I go out somewhere for dinner alone, I read a book while I'm eating, and read it for about 30 minutes afterwards too. Then I usually..uh... use the facilities. Then I go for a stroll. :) But during the week I rarely eat dinner, because I eat everything I need in the morning and at lunch, all before 3:00 pm. I do not eat quickly after I wake up or about 3 hours before I go bed, because of experience. Eating to early can make me queasy all day and eating too late gives me a "rock stomach" the next morning.

I would wait two hours or more after eating to start exercising or running. I run after school sometimes, which is 2 hours after I've eaten.
