Getting a good workout?!

Question: When I dont feel like driving the half an hour to the gym I am a member at I usually put my iPod in and dance for like 30-45 minutes. I am usually dancing at a really fast pace making sure I focus on my leg muscles and abs. Is this a good workout? I also have done this in high heels. Is that any better for leg muscles.

Definitely! Working out doesn't have to be the boring ole routine [although, I'll admit to my geekiness; I love the gym!]. But you're definitely getting a good workout. Especially if you're not stopping between songs. Thats a very creative way to exercise, and it keeps it interesting, rather than, "one sit up......two sit up......." [: Maybe you would like those dance workout videos, if you like to workout to the tv. Good job making it your own thing! I hope you don't lose your enthusiasm because, aside from a healthy body and figure, working out gives you time to think and its an awesome way to cure boredom.

it is as long as you know you're going at it hard, trying to do it all flawlessly and with perfect form. Also, eat right! What you eat is just as important what you do.

Actually Dancing Is A Great Way To Get The Leg Muscles Moving And To Increase Your Flexibilty. If You would like to give up dancing for a while you could also try jogging , ccpower walking or even squats...but to tell you the truth dancing would be the best and accompanying music with it is a great way to ease your mind to.

Hope I Have Helped.Good Luck

As long as you burn a few hundred calories for an extended period of time, it's a good workout.
