Im a guy and have BIG BONED HIPS!?!?!?!

Question: Ive been walking 95 minutes each day for almost 2 weeks. I think all the walking made me lose weight around my hips. Im not sure if its my weight that made my hips grow big or not. Im 16 and weight 261 pounds. When I lay on my sides, I can feel my hip bones, I have never felt them before! until I started walking.

They make me look so wide! Im a guy BTW Its not fat either, its bone! I can lightly punch my side and can hear the hard bone lol

1. You cannot target fat loss. Every body is a little different - some people store it "everywhere", some people get a "spare tire" and some people get "junk in the trunk" - but wherever it goes, you will lose from there, too - but not because you exercised that part of your body.

2. Skeletal structures don't have "big" features, though certain bones are designed to expand (that's usually the cartilage). So if a "big-boned" person lost a significant amount of weight (under whatever circumstances), they would not be left with a "big" skeleton.

ehmagawd . i have the ame problemm .. but i have a little fat on my hips !

Go 2 a doc ASAP. I think it's Gynecomastia. It's not dangeorous at all, but you can prevent it naturally since you are young. Good luck.

walking is lie weight training, it builds muscle but does not get rid of fat, you need to get some cardio, you need to run, being a girl, obviously i'd know a thing or two about hips :P

My shape in high school was very similar to yours. In my early 20's, all that extra weight went up into my chest & shoulders, leaving me much more proportioned (w/o working out). Keep exercising and look forward to the near future when your body will finish growing.

Great post! I totally understand how you feel. I'm also trying to lose weight and I found this great product which is working for me (it's all 100% natural - a colon cleanse that was really gentle on my body. I feel so good and I lost 15 pounds). You can check the website at
http://think-fit.info , I had a free trial and paid less than $5.00 shipping and handling. Best of luck!
