Is it okay to drink Coke Zero when on a diet?!

Question: I have eliminated all carbonated beverages (i.e. sodas) since I have been working out. I have been working out for the past five weeks and have lost five pounds. Last week I bought a jug of Ocean Spray White Cran-Strawberry juice, and 100% (true 100% cranberry juice ... that was gross). I drank 4 to 8 oz. of juice for a few days, in addition to water. I just started drinking the pre-sweetened Kool-Aid in the skinny packs (similar to the Crystal Light packs, but I hate Crystal Light).

If I drink at least 64 oz. of water per day, is there anything wrong with me drinking Coke Zero (maybe 8 oz. or so) every now and then? What about the Kool-Aid packs?

Sometimes juice/koolaid is worse than regular soda because of all the sugar....The crystal light packs are fine but I would keep the juice at a very low limit. If you must have juice, try the reduced calorie juice and add a natural sweetener like a fresh lemon. Lemons are good for you, they add sweet sugar taste without calories. And if you must drink a soda, drink diet...I recommend diet dr.pepper or diet pepsi max but only at a minimum.

Not a problem at all. You probably got more calories form the Cranberry juice than the cool aid. So feel fee to drink the coke zero and cool-aid.

i thought coke zero had no calories or fat in it? if it doesnt if it a diet type coke sure you can drink it can gain wt from something that has nothing in it
crystal light or flavored calories free drinks are fine
like flavored water

you can drink as much diet soda as you want as long as your drinking an equil amount of water. i would however wATch out for the caffene that coke zero has in it. switch to sprite zero after lunch maybe. you should be just fine

diet soda is not bad your your diet, but soda has other negative affects on your body because of all the added chemicals, especially brown/caramel colored soda. too much soda can lead to kidney stones and other illnesses, so limit your soda drinking and try drinking lighter/clear soda, like sprite.

Soda's fine. My sister drinks regular soda but is in incredible shape just from working out daily. Especially since a lot of them have a good amount of caffeine, they could even be helpful. I don't know what that other person is talking about, caffeine is great to help in weight loss.
