Stomach abs muscles hurt? why?!


Question: 2 days ago i worked out yes im out of shape and i got really sore so then today i ate food and right when i got up I felt this sharp pain in my stomach but when i lay down im fine so whats going on here any ideas? and also my stomach is sore from the workout.

you may have strained or 'woken up' muscles you haven't used in awhile. take a day off and then go back to it but try working out lighter.

you may have done too much to start with. It will get easier the more you work those muscles. Don't stop just because of the pain, but don't do as much next time and build up repetitions the more you work out.

You may have pulled some muscles and over-exerted yourself while you were working out. Take a day or two off and then try again, but don't push yourself so hard.
