Dieters, when you get hungry for more food, what do you tell yourself to tide yo!

Question: I tell myself: "after all, tomorrow IS another day...I can have it then".

Answers: I tell myself: "after all, tomorrow IS another day...I can have it then".

I have a small snack that is high in protein. A little beef jerky, some peanut butter on saltines, it really doesn't take much to take off the edge and protein keeps you full longer.

Besides, if you feel hungry too often and for too long your body will go into "starvation mode" and it will be even harder to lose weight.

If you are hungry: eat. Just eat healthy.

I don't say anything. I chew sugarfree gum. For some reason, it curves my apetite.

Drink a glass of water and eat an apple or some celery. Water is key.

I tell myself, "I'm hungry dammit." Then go grab an apple.

Denying yourself a candy bar TODAY won't help you at all TOMORROW. In fact, if you're thinking "Oh thank God, I've made it! Now I can pig out since I went without yesterday!" then that kind of defeats the whole purpose...

ADD: Ah, gotcha. It helps to drink a big glass of water before you start eating. This way, you're stomach is literally almost full before you start eating, and you won't feel as hungry as you finish.

Sometimes I chew gum or drink milk

I just grab a piece of gum, preferably sugar free gum, it helps me with my cravings.

well i just get some tea. green tea to be exact. and don;t put anything sweet in it otherwise you might as well get a candy bar or something sweet like that. if you don;t like tea then some water will do. it helps.

They have these great little packs of snacks that are 100 calorie snacks I always plan these into my day so I can have a little something to tide me over.

If you are truly hungry, then you should not deny your body food- you will actually only contribute to slowing your metabolism and make it harder to lose weight - bnesides thatyou make your body and brain nutritionally deficient.

When your focus is on good health rather than weight loss, the weight loss just naturally follows.

The best thing you can do is to carry around small , healthy snacks and feed your body when it is hungry - a hanful of nuts, a few carrots , an apple, trail mix- just avoid the saturated and unhealthy fats, artificial flavors and colors and preservatives sugar and artificial sweeteners - stick to whole, raw foods for snacks and you will help to nourish your body, increase your energy and metabolism.

Exert self control when eating out of boredom or habit- when you are hungry -EAT! It is good for you!

If your stomach is growling it is trying to tell you something--EAT!!! This happens to me every day, so, I eat fruit or something like that if it's in between meals.
