Why are people so prejudiced against overweight people?!

Right or wrong, appearances always carry the day.
It seems most of the population is overweight by health standards and trying to do something to reduce. It isn't 'fashionable' to be 'heavy'. That's especially true for women. (With men - heavy can mean 'macho').
One trouble with all this is that truly obese people - seem - to fall into but two categories: belligerant and meek.
Another is that too many fat people don't care or have 'given up' - engendering the rudeness you cite.
Others, sadly, those with real metabolic problems, can't do a damn thing about it and shouldn't have to bear the brunt in social situations or wear a 'Thyroid Problem' sign.
They underestimate you and try to impress people by scorning you. Show them what you are made of.
It's actually an instictual response - generally when you look at someone who is really fat/morbidly obese, people generally feel sick or disgusted. This is because on a subconscious level, we associate weight-gain with disease, and generally anything diseased you will avoid.
Because people believe that if you can't even play a game without needing a brake, there is no reason to 'pick you' to play or pass to. That communication in PE/Gym translates to the other classes because usually the jocks are stupider than the overweight people so they figure they still have Gym as a strength.

Well, because frankly they may be worried about you. "You should work out---" "YOU HATES OVERWEIGHT PEOPLE!" *Gos and eats Ho-Ho's*, Plus some people are sensitive. Make sure, since some overweight people smell...Thats why they may ignore you.
You said it! I not fat, but I've been called fat by idiots! I thought I was over-weight for a very long time! Your right! People are soooo stupid! Fat people are just as pretty as thin people. Personally, I think that they're more pretty just because they don't starve themselves and plus they take advantage of living in a country where you don't have to worrying about starving! Power to the Plus-size! That's what I always say!
