Sorry, but to the person who said you don't need protein, obviously doesn't know how the body works and obviously hasn't got a Diploma in Clinical Nutrition, specializing in weight management. Some people just aren't qualified to advise on this site. I have my Diploma's and I can tell you that YES, you very much do need protein for building muscle, but it won't necessarily reduce body fat. Muscle burns fat, not the whey protein. The whey protein will help build your muscles. Your muscles are made of protein and unless you give your muscles more protein, they won't build up. You should be having Whey Protein Isolate though as it is better utilized by the muscles and contains less lactose and fat.
Hope this helps.

Yes if you drink whey protein and lift weights it will more than likely reduce body fat % rather than make you lose weight. however it is impossible to lose fat "in one area" on your body. So it will take a while but eventually yes it will be a lot smaller and more muscular.

Protein doesn't reduce fat and has no relation to how much fat you have around your gut.

Protein is what your body needs to build muscle and repair itself. Whey is simply a high-grade protein that's easily digested and is used by athletes and weightlifters to get more protein into their diet.

This product is a damned waste of money! It does not make you build muscle faster or lose fat. The muscle bound steroid freaks on the package may sexually excite you, but you are already getting plenty of palm exercise. Now go to the gym and lift some weights, protein is not the answer.
Ignore hormonehell, he is another GNC plant here to sell their useless crap. If he had a high school diploma he would know that protein deficiency is extremely rare. More protein does not equal bigger muscles.

It's pure whey protein. It's great to have before and after a workout. It helps build muscle which will increase your metabolism, but there is nothing in it that magically burns fat. I use the GNC whey protein often.
